Day 6 - Sat 22 Nov

Up early - sunshine over Wellington, very novel!
After brekkie went up the cable car to the Botanic Gardens. After a coffee at the top, we saw the gun emplacement. Dad would love it! Came back down after a quick shopping spree in the gift shop and a look around the museum.

Headed over to the Weta Cave and met up with Graham. Amazing to see the life-size and very life-like Gollum and Lurtz!

After, had coffee in Starbucks and took a ride up the Kapiti coast - it's still Raumati South for us. Called in at Porirua - quite a nice city.
Headed back to Graham and Jayne's for a roast dinner - then Rik went to the pub with Graham and Jayne, while I stayed home and watched TV with the girls.

Coffee at Lembas Cafe (they serve Jim Beam!) was great - real chill out. Puekakariki too run down, but getting there and not not much to do at Pukerua Bay - very few shops.
After Weta Cave (a bit smaller than I was expecting!) rode around Seatoun coast and Oriental Bay - another quiet ride.
Montkeiths bar was a bar! Quite nice, but a trek! Everest Rd was flat but Jellicoe Rd a trek and a hill and a half! Jayne was a hard taskmaster but it was a nice walk.
